To buy a digital piano or an acoustic piano, that's the question. After performing plenty of study the answer appears obvious to me that digital pianos are the very best however it depends totally on the individual that you are, what you want, what you'll need and just how much funds you are willing to spend. What do you want? Do you need to be able play musical pieces and hear the genuine acoustic piano sound? You could believe that the only answer for this would be to buy an acoustic piano, but you may be surprised to hear that some digital pianos are capable of sounding fairly much specifically like an acoustic piano.
Yes it is accurate that not all digital pianos sound like the real deal, but in case you do your study correctly and test some different models, you can be able to come across 1 that has genuine, acoustic piano like, sound. For beginners not surprisingly, the good quality of the sound might not be an problem, you might not even know the difference between both. Do you need a piano inside your home which is an elegant piece of furniture? Once again you might feel that the only remedy could be to get an acoustic piano because lots of digital pianos don't look at all like a classic piano, they look more like a black piece of plastic with keys attached to them. I do not mind myself, owning a plastic piano isn't a dilemma for me. But I do comprehend those that would want something extra elegant to improve a room's look. Music is actually a very interesting art and specially playin teh piano, dependable piano's just like teh Synthesizer Vocoder are critical.

Synthesizer help, I'm just starting out...?
I am thinking about buying a synth, a small synth since I am just starting out, I already know the basic concepts like wet/dry, attack, delay, sustain, cutoff, etc.
I was originally inclined for the Korg MicroKorg XL, but then I heard some people saying that the Alesis Micron is better, so far the pros and cons I have are:
Korg:
-Vocoder (I really like the concept, have some really cool plans for it)
-Editing capabilities
-lightweight
-near-analog sound
-lots of presets (not only lots of them, but they're really cool too)
-I really don't know any cons for the Korg MicroKorg XL
Alesis
-I have no clue as to what the cons and pros are on this one, I only know it doesn't have a vocoder
Also what's the difference between the Micron and the Micron SE (other than one is a limited edition)?
If you have any sites for further learning on how to actually play synth I would be very thankful (in Mexico we don't have any music schools that have synth lessons)
Hi Arturo.. I tried Korg, casio and a few others, and I eventually settled on Yamaha..
But to make a long story short, check out..
www.yamahapkclub.com You can even down loadload for free more than enough songs to let you see whats it's capable of. I'm not sure if you can do that with some of the others.. I hope that helps some what..Eric..Cheers..PS: It's got everything you mentioned and more...
Conclusion. Price should not be your only concern when acquiring. The reality is this: in this industry you get what you pay for and sometimes paying a hundred dollars much more for a piano is nicely worth the improvement in excellent. After all is said and performed, here's the top guidance I can give to every person searching for a digital piano; quit for a minute and ask yourself this significant question:
Although conventional pianos still continue to be used in huge concert halls, the electric pianos have come as a blessing to parents who want their youngsters to understand to play piano. Not only are they less expensive and smaller, they can also be played with headphones rather than out loud. In addition the digital piano offers extra creativity along with other facilities which have produced then so preferred amongst the masses.
